Most annotation tags and symbols do not have family types.
You can modify symbols that are supplied with the Autodesk Revit software to fit your company standards or create new symbols using a variety of templates. In some way, they are simple since you don’t have to create a lot of complex parameters or sketches. They include tags, view titles, north arrows, and annotations that only need to display in 2D such as electrical and sprinkler symbols. Show/Hide Library Tree and Library settings menu : These 2 buttons let you modify how libraries and their materials, are displayed in the Material Browser window. Material Libraries toolbar: Provides controls to manage libraries, create new or duplicate existing materials, or open and close the Asset Browser. Right-click a material in the list to access a menu of common tasks such as Rename, Duplicate, and Add to a Library. Project materials list: Displays materials in the current project, whether they are applied to objects or not. Use the project materials settings menu options to filter the display of materials presented in the project materials list. Show/Hide project materials settings menu : This button lets you modify the view of project materials and the library panel in the Material Browser window. Project materials filter : Filter project materials by class.
